With that the autumn trip is over. In total 13 new crags, 50 plus routes and a nice new picture for my wall. We didn't climb many hard routes, but everything felt steep and on the arms, even the 5bs. It was great to reconnect with Mark and we got a surprise visit from the resident Provence climber, Chuck. First time in 20 years and great to see that he hasn't changed a bit.
Trip highlights for me were in the longer routes and also discovering just how much climbing there is in the Durance Valley. Many lifetimes of routes of all shapes, sizes and commitment levels. Also, the morning coffees at Champ Des Mars, trips to the market and hanging out at Bloc27. Such a cool new training venue.
For now, it's back to Hong Kong and work, with a packed training schedule and an attempt at cutting out meat and processed foods for the next couple of months, in the run up to our trip to Chiang Mai, then Scotland and Norway for Christmas.
